Not In Our Town - Glenn County is the only substance abuse prevention coalition in Glenn County. In order for us to continue to provide substance abuse prevention in 2006 and beyond we need the financial support of our community!
Through the generous donations in 2005 NIOT was able to provide funds for the following:
- Glenn County K-9 Association for Yukon, the Glenn county sheriff's drug dog.
- Be the Change for the 24 hour Challenge Day
- Glenn County Drug Store for over 550 7th & 8th grade students.
- Creation of a Glenn County substance abuse prevention web site: end2meth.org
- PAL youth center building fund
- Be the Change organizational start up costs.
Other ways we provide prevention resources are; providing volunteers for classroom presentations to over 4,000 students in Glenn County, public services announcements on local television stations, providing substance abuse material to over 14,000 citizens in Glenn County and we are in the process of creating a Methamphetamine Family Support Group.
NIOT great appreciates donations of any amount to help continue the support of our efforts to improve substance abuse prevention through education, awareness and intervention in Glenn County. We hold 501(c) 3 status.
