A Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition

Willows, Orland, Hamilton City, Elk Creek, Princeton

MISSION STATEMENT


The mission of this organization shall be to create safe and drug-free communities through a countywide coalition that supports and strengthens prevention in Glenn County. In furtherance of this mission the organization will develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive plan encompassing the services of law enforcement, health services, social services, schools and the private sector to combat the epidemic of methamphetamine in our community through prevention, education, rehabilitation and appropriate prosecution and punishment. Also, this organization will create community norms that support positive, healthy, drug-free lifestyles, promote coordinated committed regional collaboration, ensure that the community uses best research-based prevention practices and strategies and ensure ongoing sustained funding for prevention programs.
